Liberia is a small West African nation with respect to surface area and population. She is the oldest independent nation on the continent of Africa. Hitherto, she was a great nation, renown and respected in the community of nations especially in the role it played to bring independence to her sister nations.

In the yesteryears, she was a great leader and pacesetter, a generous donor and sympathizer with the oppressed. Her role as a model in politics, Christianity, education, health, social sciences economic development, agriculture and sports were admired globally. Life was pleasant, flourishing, attractive and rewarding, and she was able to cohabit merrily with visitors from all backgrounds.

Somewhere in the late 1980s a civil conflict arose and gradually degenerated into arms conflict that lasted for a period of over fourteen years. During this period of strive and instability the nation of Liberia which up till then, had been an enviable people, was completely devastated and laid bare in desolation. The people became highly disoriented and confused. morals were eroded and Godless practices became rampant.. Liberia a mother nation on the African continent was metamorphosed into a crowing sick baby. The giant donor country became a beggar. The pride of black Africa was transformed into the scorn. The civilized and knowledgeable people were converted into a nation of highly illiterate and ignorant people. Indeed the many years of misunderstandings are reminiscence of shame, sorrow and affliction to persons who knew the former civilized nation of Liberia and can make a comparison with the present shameful degradation in its place.

Liberia is a very rich nation, blessed with lots of natural and human resources much of which are lying idle and unexploited. God had intended these resources to be a blessing to the nation and people of Liberia for generations. The wars have come and gone with the resource still in place. God’s purpose for Liberia has not changed. God has the power to do and undo. This is the commission that God has given to HCMI. Let my people repent and turn back unto me and then I will build for them a rich nation and heritage out of the wasted land and wasted years (Psalm 107 all through).

HCMI intends to carry out her mission in Liberia, on a platform of Christian and Scriptural Principles and practices, and on a non denominational stand point. Her aims are simple and precise: rebuild the nation of Liberia through serenely interventions front less all round perspective. HCMI aspire for the Nation of Liberia to be reoriented and reintegrated into the Comity of Nations as the Old, subtle, Generous, Admired and principled Mother of Africa, in all spheres and domains of operations and life.
